The Young Artist at Work Blog

Greetings,

This is the new blog by the students in the Young Artists at Work program. Here they will share their artwork, write their opinions, display pictures, broadcast videos, and get you thinking.

Now here is a little something on the program.

Young Artists at Work is a paid, multidisciplinary arts, activism, and job training after-school program for San Francisco public high school teens. Students will develop artistic skills in bi-weekly workshops led by professional artists that will culminate in a public presentation of your work. Choose to explore visual or performance art. In addition, all students will attend the Film/Video as Activism class held on Friday. All classes are held at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts; Mon-Fri, 4–6pm. Put your art and activist skills into action during the summer through an internship at a variety of arts organization and gain hands-on experience in arts leadership!

We encourage you to visit YBCA to see what we're all about.
